Cookie Policy
Version 1.1
Effective Date: 2026-10-25 (America/Chicago)
1. REQUIRED TECHNOLOGIES ONLY
PIGEON's launch policy permits only technologies reasonably necessary for authentication/session state, fraud/security, Firebase functionality, payment checkout, user preferences and required application functions. No advertising cookies, targeted-advertising SDKs, cross-site advertising, behavioral advertising pixels or email open-tracking pixels are permitted at launch.
2. VERIFIED INVENTORY AND PUBLICATION GATE
Before any public activation or new vendor integration, PIGEON must verify the actual browser cookie/storage inventory, including storage names, vendors, purposes and expiration periods. Server-side approval alone does not establish browser storage behavior. No unverified or optional analytics/advertising integration may be activated without the applicable technical and consent review; the published policy must describe actual deployed technologies rather than planned integrations.
Necessary categories may include session/authentication, secure application data, payment checkout, map/address features and requested preferences only where the final build verifies them. The inventory must identify actual vendors, purpose, data, scope and expiration without inventing SDKs.
3. PREFERENCES
Optional advertising and analytics tracking is currently disabled. PIGEON uses only technologies required to operate, secure and provide the service.
Cookie Preferences is available at /cookie-policy#preferences. No fake optional controls are presented. While only required technologies are enabled, no optional cookie-consent preference record is required.
If optional analytics is later approved, preference storage will be per browser/device for 12 months with an accessible change mechanism. Consent will not be described as account-global unless implemented and tested. Browser settings can clear/block storage but may prevent required functionality.
4. ADVERTISING AND PRIVACY CHOICES
PIGEON does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use personal data for targeted advertising, or perform advertising profiling. Marketing promotional email, optional analytics and advertising tracking are disabled at launch. If promotional campaigns are later enabled, email subscription must be a separate optional, unchecked opt-in with an unsubscribe option; transactional notices remain independent of marketing preferences.
Privacy requests remain available at /privacy-choices. No sale opt-out button is displayed merely to imply a sale occurs. Future changes require appropriate policy/control review.
5. EMAIL AND MOBILE
Transactional email has no open-tracking pixels or behavioral tracking parameters. Necessary unique security/action identifiers serve their transaction only, not advertising profiling. Marketing email is disabled at launch; any future marketing message requires the applicable separate opt-in and functional unsubscribe process.
Mobile camera/location permissions are separate from browser preferences and are explained at collection. PIGEON Field is for Process Servers only.
